Default finished my 129

A year a ago I posted my father gave me a cub cadet 129 that he bought well used around 1990, and he used it until the motor finally gave out in 2001. It sat in the barn until i dragged it across the State to my house last year.

today it got driven/used for the first time

A big thankyou to this site for the use of the all the information in the libary

Thanks, I did build them. I was hoping it would make it look more like a big tractor

Wow...what an amazing job and it is great to see a restored cub put back into service!! Better not show that to your dad or he will want it back. You did a fabulous job on those custom fenders and had great insight to incorporate the lights into them. Thanks for sharing the photos...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
