Guys, Kate Goetzhauser, Managing Editor of Lawn and Garden Tractor magazine, is publishing an article in the Jan./Feb. issue on rear mounted tillers for Cub Cadets. She has the article and several low resolution pictures. But for the magazine, she needs high resolution pictures. If you can provide some, please let me know, and I’ll put you in contact with Kate. She could also use high resolution copies of IH tiller brochures. Below is a listing of the low resolution pictures she has to give you some ideas. Please identify any pictures you provide as to model of the tiller and model Cub Cadet it’s mounted on (if mounted). The article is not that long, so she wouldn’t be able to use all these pictures but would like a variety. You’ll receive credit in the magazine for any pictures you provide.
1) IH tiller nameplate 2) #2 or #2A tiller mounted on a Cub Cadet 3) #1 tiller with no extensions (mounted and/or not mounted) 4) #1 tiller with extensions (mounted and/or not mounted) 5) closeup of tiller mounting 6) tiller gearbox (mounted and/or not mounted) without tiller 7) IH tiller mounted on narrow frame, wide frame or 82 series Cub Cadets The article is basically a history of Cub Cadet tillers (the various models) and what’s required to mount a tiller on your Cub Cadet. Kate is hoping to find someone that can provide several pictures if possible. TIA |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
