My buddy & I did some night plowing a couple weeks ago & i thought i would share some pics. We plowed an acre of sweetcorn ground & finished up around 11 pm. He used his cub cadet 1811 & i used my IH 782. Very fun plowing at night.

Great pics and interesting....night plowing, eh? When you saw your rows in daylight, were they straight? Mine would probably resemble the curves on Marilyn Monroe if I tried that

Thanks guys, it was very fun!! The next day our furrow rows were actually pretty straight to be honest. Those rear work lights made a big difference in being able to see plow. Didnt have to drill or put holes into anything to mount lights or toggle switch. Both our tractors had factory punchouts under dash panel by the keyswitch that toggle switch mounted in. I got my light free also, that light came off a an IH 1680 combine that my dad had from when we farmed.

The runner wheels on the plows arw guage wheels like the big farm plows use. Set the depth of how deep you want to plow with the guage wheel. This keeps from constantly messing with depth controls on tractor. Put the plow down in ground & the guage wheel stops it at whatever depth you want to plow.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
