I am trying to swap out the dash tower on a 125. I can not figure out how to remove the hydro selector lever. Is there a set screw or something that holds it on? Under the handle it looks like there may have been a hole but i am unable to access it.

Once you remove the screw, shoot inside it with some PB blaster, it may take a few tries.

As noted the parts manual shows: 10-24 X 1/2 Hex Soc Hd Half Dog Pt Set
Couple questions... Is this a hex head bolt that extends out of handle and what does the last part of the description mean (what type of fastener is this, anyone have a picture)? It appears this may be broken in the handle, the bolt is basically flush with the handle. Thanks all, (Joe's hydro ignorant helper) |

Even with the set screw gone, mine still need a bit of heat and a mallet to be persuaded off. Take your time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
