Default need help with my 104

I own a cub cadet 104 i paid 300$ for it didnt run so good i cleaned the carb all out it ran great i also replaced a fuel line i drove it from my workshop up to my house (1/3 mile) parked it let it cool down pressure washed it and she wouldnt start back up. keeps crankin but wont fire. So it aint an electrical problem thinkin its the carb but this is my first cub and the carb is different then most my other tractors. should i do a rebuild? if so could someone link me to somewhere on how to do it on these older cubs?

Sounds like it maybe a water issue if it would not start after it was power washed. I would start making sure water did not get into the carb, points, or some other part of the ignition system. No expert here though, there are guys on this forum who really know their stuff and I'm sure will figure a solution for you. Best of luck...............

Where in Ohio are you?

Sounds like the points and/or coil got wet. The gas system should be sealed to water (you didn't pressure wash near the tank fill, did you?). Dry out the points and coil, especially unplug the sparkplug wire from the coil, and dry out the coil. If it ran before, then probably its not the gas.

As a general rule, it is NOT a good idea to pressure wash your cub cadet because of water getting into seals, gaskets and other places that it should not...like points. The same results can be made with some degreaser and just a low pressure garden hose. The points and coil can dry out easily, but what about the motor and transmission?

I'm going to respectfully disagree. Unless a seal is bad, it won't let water in. And if a gasket doesn't let oil out, water can't get in those either. We pressure wash EVERYTHING we work on before and after we work on it. I have never tore an engine or trans apart after washing it that had water in it. Unless, we had it opened up. (Like a trans with no axles in it.)

DISCLAIMER: I don't however, recommend power washing a seal area at close proximity or with a zero tip. Not necessarily because of water getting in, but because it can damage the seal.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
