Default Picked up a 2160 organ donor

Picked up this beater today. Tractor runs decent, engine runs good, deck is a screen but the spindles are OK. No side panels. Parts R Us. Guy had it listed on C-list as a Cub 136... the first 3 digits of the model number on the tag LOL

Not sure at this point. May try to make something out of the parts I have kicking around. Trans will be for sale cheap. I hate the AGS tractors but this one has a good tranny. Did a wheelie loading it on the trailer, no slip in 6th gear.

Gave pig pen a bath with the pressure washer. Came out pretty decent. It now has an IKEA bag for a seat cover, the seat has green stuff growing out of the foam NASTY. Looks like it has the standard factory wiring issues like that's new. Won't turn over with the key switch but fires right up with the remote starter button hooked to the solenoid. Carb needs to be cleaned, it has a stumble at low speeds. Just for kicks I checked the price for a replacement deck shell $978.00 Nope not gonna happen.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
