I personally don't like them, but this one is in the form of a 129. A friend of a friend owns this thing and wants me to put it back together for him. One slight problem. It was disassembled over 20 years ago and is in boxes. Looks like most the stuff is there but won't know until I get it put together. I'm sure I'm going to be asking a lot of questions since this is as far as I've ever been into a wide frame and even more for a hydro. First question I guess would be, if anyone has some pics of under the dash for the linkages. Also, does anyone have a exploded view of the hydro lever and linkages so I can get the parts in the right order. I will get pics tomorrow as its to dark and m shed is full of boxes and buckets of cubs parts. Also has a nice hard cab he wants me to refinish for him

We take on jobs like that here at the shop sometimes. Nobody likes putting stuff together they didn't take apart. Although, I don't have a 129, I'm sure I speak for everyone saying we will help! My suggestion..... Get good at a parts blowout. Although they don't always picture things together, they really help when you need to see how things go. Download a service manual too. They usually have pretty good pics in them.
As always, GOOD LUCK! ![]() |

It's all nuts, bolts, & a few pins, we will get this back together! (Any thing is possible with the right attitude) keeping it stupid simple is always best some things will just " fall together" then adjust.

Be prepared, but even with the best pics and diagrams I am sure that at some point you will find you have installed one part only to find that you needed to install another part first. My son Eric and I have a 102 all apart for refurbish and we have another 102 for reference but expect to have a sequence of assembly problem or two. Oh well just chalk it up to experience and go slow and be careful and the job will be finished.

a little past on the tractor, its main purpose was being used to taxi small aircraft (personal) for the majority of its life. guy said he's only mowed with it three or four times as well as clear snow off the small runway where he kept his plain every year since it was new until the time he tore it apart. which was right around 1990 . so im actualy looking forward to getting it completed for him as hes also offered to take me up in his plane when finished. im working on uploading pictures at the moment

I have (3) 129's, though one is a donor and one is going to find a new home at my nephews soon, I hope. Let me know what pics you need and if I can find time to check this computer, then I will send them to you. It really isn't too much different than the NF's.....and you will have it back together in very little time. I can't help but wonder why he took it apart in the first place, all of mine work better when they are together!
![]() Ok, just PM me for what you need... Cub Cadet 123

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
