Default Rummage Sale find....

Of all places, I bought this at a rummage sale last week..

Supposed to have started life as a Cub 128. Beyond that, I have no idea what it actually is.

Can anyone help?

thanks guys. not 100% sure what I'm going to do with it yet. I would love to pull it, but our schedule is nuts with work and other hobbies.

It hasnt been run for a couple of years... I am not at all familiar with these. Appears to be kind of a "pussycat", powerwise? Dont know a lot about it at all. The owner was busy with his sale, so didnt get time to talk to him much. I asked, he did say he ran it on pump gas.

Just one of those impulse buys. Ive been around a lot of motorsports and it appeared to have some time and effort put into its construction, doesnt look cobbled together. I'm guessing the wheels and tires are fairly expensive to buy new? Looked cool and very reasonably priced, so why not play with it and go from there?

My grandson is only 6, if he was older I might let him play with it. Are there age restrictions, depending on class? Definitely going to get it started and see what happens.

hey guys Ive been wondering because my buddys got some tractors with k241s and they all have the belt start generator and no fuel pump the carb was gravity fed. I was wonder if that was just a cub thing because I got a motor out of a jd 210 and it had the fuel pump and ring gear starter?generator like the one in inboardnut's pics

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
