Default 169?
I bought an old rough parts tractor today.Wide frame, hydro, hydro lift, blue stripe. I can't read the number on the dash, it is so deteriorated. I assumed it was a 149. Owner says he thinks it was a "16 hp tractor". Serial number is: 2050047U501911. It looks like it was built in 1974. Is this a 169?
So,that got me to thinking,,,last night, I bought a hydro/hydro lift wide frame (bare frame).I assumed it was a 149.It is serial number 2050047U519557. Also built in 1974. Is this a 169 frame?
The chances of getting 2 169's in 2 days is slim to none.

048 is the code for a 169 looks like yours are 149's

juniors1282, Thanks,my friend for the information.
It's all good.They both have rear lifts!The parts tractor has 8.5 wide rims and good tires,good frame,steering column,ignition switch,headlight switch,hydro,transaxle,driveshaft,hydro deck lift/rear lift set-up,voltage regulator,front axle,spindles,steering tower,good dash,hood grill,etc.,etc.I also got an extra hydro/transaxle and drive shaft and pair of 8.5 rims with good tires thrown in.I'd say a good haul for $50.Even if it is "just a 149".
