I am trying to make the output from the transmission go to only one output shaft instead of two. The end result I am trying to get is to have one drive wheel go forward or reverse. If I were to secure one output shaft down say using an angle iron bracket and the other attach a drive wheel, would that hurt the differential ???
I have several CC hydros from CC 123/ 125 tractors to pick from.. Thanks, any comments appreciated!!! |

If I understand what you are trying to do is have only 1 wheel rotate. If you were going to do that for a limited amount of time and load you would probably be OK but I wouldn’t do it for extended periods plus the wheel that would be rotating would be turning at double the normal speed. You may want to consider a spool like the pullers use or weld the spider gears in the diff and remove the axel you do not want to turn and put a plug in the axel tube that you take the axle out of. May I ask what it is you are doing?

The caption under this picture says this fella' used to drive around the country and cut up firewood for people. Just jack up one wheel, throw the belt around it and start sawing!
