Default Picked up my "new" 125 last night...with questions (and pics)!

Picked up my "new" 125 last night. Tractor runs great and even has some implements. It's grungy; but, is actually pretty solid! I have some questions:

1. Seat - It does have a seat. The bolts have pulled out of the fiberglass bottom. I can fix it but wondered if there is a source for new seats and/or material?

2. Tune-up kit - Tractor runs great. However, at some point I'm sure it will need a tune-up. Is there any on-line source for a tune-up kit (point, plug, etc.) without buying everything piecemeal?

3. Mower Deck - Would like to get a mower deck. When looking through Craislist and other sources, how do I find the part number that would go with this tractor?

Nice 125 I see the hydraulic lift too which is somewhat rare. For a deck you can get a 42 or a 48 in deck. (old style deck).

Nice job on the 125, with lights and hydro lift. Ive seen on flea bay that theres kits that people put together for tune ups, like a hydro filter, air filter, plug etc.. I usually just go buy everything at one and write down what I did and on what day so I can go back and say "oh, I did do this" or "oh, that isnt the problem." Maybe talk to a sponsor or your Cub Cadet dealer about tune up kits

Bill, you are blowing the doors down with your finds. That thing has a hydro lift man!

On your tuneup parts, I can highly recommend Tulsa Engine Warehouse. You will save money, and it won't take that long to go through and collect part numbers for points, condenser, carb kit, spark plug, air filter and so forth. You are going to want these part numbers down in a notebook anyway. Partstree.com is a great resource for getting your part numbers.

Here's an example of an air filter, of the same type I've seen at Tractor Supply for around $18. How's $3.08 sound?

Thanks, guys. This one actually runs really well. No smoke at start up, hydrostatic is strong, and the hydro lift works great. Came with discs and two types of cultivators(?)? I don't know my implements....sorry!

Any ideas on finding and/or refinishing the seat?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
