Cast iron Diff is good?? Right??
So that should have pretty much the same driveline as my 109?? Other then engine of course. Can I add hydro lift to that drive unit?? Weaknesses??? It does seem steep price, but here in Canuckland they aren't all that easy to find, and generally go for more that in USA. Of course maybe he could be beat down a little.

$700 isn't too bad really. I see junky ih cubs starting at $500 all the time on Cl. You shouldn't have too much problem adding hydraulics too it. Either via the hydro pump or by adding a pump. The sponsors at the top of the page can help you with the parts. The minds within this board can offer guidance. Oh and a cast rear is a good thing. The aluminum ones are prone to breaking.

It's about a 250 mile round trip to where this is located, so it's not like I can make a few trips to check it out.
Pics look decent. I may contact the guy and see if negotiable at all. And I know a fellow not too far from there may have a preliminary look see for me, tho not sure how valuable his opinion might be.

Not trying to be biased, but the 82 series of cubs are some of the best built in my opinion. Even the CCC models. I can tell you this. $700 won't even come close to purchasing my 1711 which is essentially a yellow and white 782. I say if you like it, grab it. They are not that easy to find in my area either. The one thing I do notice is that the engine tins are missing. These do aid greatly in keeping the engine cooler. People seem to have the opposite train of thought and think removing them will make the engine run cooler. Granted, with the tins off, you can definitely maintenance it faster and easier.

Looks good unless you have alot of hills because it has the KT 17 series I which isn't pressure lubricated.
