Default Found another Original

A friend of mine called to say he had a JD for sale and wanted to me to look at it, so I did because it sounded like a rare one. Well, it wasn't as rare as he thought and we got to talking about other tractors and he said he had an old Cub that he Knew nothing about. We went and looked at it and I brought it home instead. It is an early '62.
Unfortunately, it has had a very hard life and will be donating some parts to my '63. The tractor from the frame split forward is shot and and many parts missing. The trans appears to be locked up, but I haven't been in it yet. Most of you have already figured out what parts I wanted. This is the second Original that I have found in Arkansas with the rear lift setup. I already had one on my '63, but I was very happy to find the fenders and the sleeve hitch.

Yea, I hate to part them out to, but this one has been neglected too long and would be way too much of a project.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
