Just a quick question. On my 149 the outsides of each front tire are wearing a lot quicker than the insides. The tires are straight and paralell to each other but they seem to tip out away from the tractor from the ground up. Is this normal or is there any adjustment I can make? I am running turf savers on the fronts. Thanks, mark

it could be from turning and steering alot and yes you may have to toe the front tires in so they dont wear the edges some of my cubs were like that too

besides the alignment adustments (4 in total I think, all readily accessible) I think there is a tendency to over-inflate...1250 calls for only 12 PSI all the way around (I was actually surprised at that but 38 years now and only the second set of tires...wish my truck could do that).

The positive camber is normal, that's how IH made them, as far as I know it was to improve steering.

I think over inflation causes the centers to wear and under causes the edges to wear. Somebody double check me on that. I agree proper inflation is the key to tire wear.

ds you are right. Overinflation causes the tire to become more round and wear in the center while underinflation causes the center of the tire to bow in slightly allowing the tire to run on the edges. Proper inflation will allow the tire to wear evenly. Tow in and camber can also show signs of uneven wear.
