Default Is this a Cub Cadet Original?

Called about this tractor this morning. An elderly couple own it. It has a snow plow. I think it's an orginal, but not sure. If someone is around the Perkiomenville, Pa. let me know so you can verfy the tractor. I started to grab it for the price, but I just can't do it. She says it ran but the battery was dead and she didn't want to buy a new battery. What would be a fair price for this tractor?

I can't see the engine very well, but I would say a 70. Top $ to me would be $150-$175 with the blade.

Looks like a 100. It has the larger air cleaner. Definitely has a smaller gas tank.

Yeah to me it looks like a somewhat cobbled together 100. Still a nice tractor though!

Before offering any money, see if they have the rest of that 3 point to include in on the package!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
