An indian Chief walked into a store and asked the clerk, "Chief need something to go on....Chief need toilet paper!" The store clerk responded, "We have Charmin for 75 cents/roll, White Cloud for 70 cents/roll, Scott's Tissue for 60 cents/roll, and we have a generic brand for 40 cents/roll." The Chief replied, "Hmmmm.....Chief try the generic brand this time." The next day, the Chief came back into the store and quickly located the same store clerk. He said in a very firm voice, "Chief have name for generic toilet paper, they should call it JOHN WAYNE paper!" The store clerk was baffled aat how the Chief came up with the name, so he asked him why he would call it JOHN WAYNE paper. The Chief responded, "Because it's ROUGH, TOUGH, and IT DON'T TAKE CRAP OFF OF ANY INDIAN!"

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
