scratchin' paint
How does one keep the hood from scratching fresh paint on fuel tank on a 104. Surely every NF has this problem, right? Chris

Very carefully loosen the tank holding straps, and center the tank to the hood. Be sure to keep the hood clearance evenly spaced, then tight the straps. If the hood is skewed look for another. There isn't much clearance but there is enough.

Thanks CaptMax. Matt, now I think it's vibration from loose latches. The sides were more rubbed than scratched. Thanks fellas.
