982 Steering Assist question
Here's a real long shot I know. I have the factory steering assist on my 982 (not the newer power steering set-up from MTD tractors). The front seal has always leaked a few drops on the floor and I took it apart to fix. I figure its just an O-Ring or something but I can't get the front apart. The cylinder comes apart 2/3 of the way toward the front but you can't access where the seal is. Anyone have a breakdown on this unit or know how to change the front seal?
I know this set-up is "Super" rare and info is scarce if available. The cylinder has "Modular Controls" and a part number stamped on it.
