100 Steering cap
Guys,
For some reason, the cap won't stay in the steering wheel. We tried wrapping electrical tape around the bottom part of the cap, but it didn't help. Don't want to lose my cap. Any suggestions? Thanks guys!

Try glueing it in and pressing it in. If not then try mericale metal.

Originally they were held in place by a very thick rubber O ring like thing.

Jacobson GT 10 with mower. DR Lawn vac tow behind,Home made lawn roller. Brinly cart, 2 off brand carts and 1 home made cart.

Donovan, I don't want to glue it in, as I don't want to mess up a NOS cap. You don't see many NOS 100 steering wheel caps.

Allen, what about a wide rubber band. A black one should hide in there nicely. I have the same issue with the 147, the new cap I got just sits in the steering wheel and will constantly be falling off. One other option is clear silicone. I've glued center caps onto car wheels before with it and they stayed. When you want to remove it the silicone can be peeled away without damage.

Allen, I used double sided sticky tape. I'm not sure what it's really called, I have a roll a buddy gave me. I know it's made by 3M.

I will be sending Duke a package in the next week or so.Inside will be the gasket for you.I wish I had known you did not have it as I would gave sent it with the cap. The hard part is getting it from Duke.hehehe
