This weekends I'm planning on replacing the input shaft on my 100. The one on its wallored out pretty bad. I'm wondering how many gaskets there are that'll need replaced. I'm going to replace the gasket for the rear cover just for peace of mind.
Thanks, Mike

Off the top of my head I think just one for the reduction housing and one seal for the input shaft. Been a while

Between the reduction housing and the trans.
Pretty easy to make, if you have a source of good gasket material (Tractor supply, auto parts house). John

Yep, just the one for the front cover that covers the reduction gear and then the rear diff cover. I made all of mine from gasket material I purchased at NAPA for my nephew's 73. I used an empty 38 caliber or 45 ACP casing to cut my bolt holes.

Using an empty cartridge case to cut the holes is pretty smart. I do have many diff sizes of hole punches but did not think of an empty case.

I did all the gaskets in mine a few weeks ago. the auto parts store had a roll of 3/32" thick Fel-Pro gasket , sold by the foot.
for a hole punch, I picked up all the sizes of pipe nipples. from 1/4" to 3/4" . grind a sharp edge on one end and put a screw on cap on the other. they work good on punching 3/8" holes in some rubber conveyor belt I have to make new rag joints.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
