Hello OCC Group,
I am still trying to level my yard. I have a front blade and when my tractor goes over the humps the blade gouges and when I'm coming out of the low spot it does nothing. I am truly frustrated with these low and high spots in my yard!!!! PLEASE.... Any advise? |

I have the same trouble with the front blade. Looks like a washboard when i get done. I was lucky enough to find a rear blade for a great price this spring. It works so much easier.

A center-mounted grader blade will probably be better for what you are trying to do.

The center blade "Road Type" graders have really long wheelbase so putting one on an Original might not work well either. Finding or building would also be tough. |

Mine looks like this, It seems to work great. I have never tried a center mount. So like Matt said, It might be better yet. ![]() |

And Diz's gravel drive looks almost like a table top! I think he goes out and re-grades it every week, just so he has an excuse to play on his Cub!! :biggrin2.gif:

They aren't too hard to make if you happen to have a junk blade from some OT thing and an extra deck subframe.

I used a box blade on my 104 last weekend to push in a trench we dug for a water line - it did okay doing that - a front blade would have been better for that. But, then we used the box blade to level everything after we filled in the trench, and it did great for that.
I have a rear blade that I've picked up a few weeks back that I'm thinking about converting to a mid-mount blade - and I have extra sub-frames so I'm set there. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
