Default 1882 info needed

Just picked up an 1882 and I'd like to know what you guys can tell me about it from the model # 140721100 and ser # 802588 Looks like it will be getting a new engine, this one has a small hole in the block. Pretty sure the Gov failed. It still runs but it wants to just run away.

Thanks

No rear PTO. Just pulled the plastic off and took it to the quarter car wash. This one is almost mint. Think I'm in trouble, I was going to just fix it and sell it but I think it's a keeper even though I don't need it. Drove it around a little bit and talk about a sweet tractor. Even the mower only needs to have the blades sharpened.

Nice buy, it really looks good. I didn't realize there was an 1882 SGT. Was the stock engine an 18 HP Magnum, or Command?

Wouldn't re-powering with a Kohler Command 20 or 22 HP make more sense than the Briggs?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
