S-G question
Will an 1101996 s/g work on an Original? I have one of these as a spare for my 123 and wonder if it's suitable for use on the "O" for a while.

I think I answered my own question
Looks like the later units had a slightly larger pulley (at least one the one I have) but otherwise the unit fit and worked fine. The tin can of marbles sound is now gone and it charges better at ~13.1 V.

Great info from the reference section
Hi Roland,
Yes, I sure did. I found that it wasn't the correct one for the "O" , but couldn't find any description what the difference between the two are. Anyway, it worked, so I'll now go see if I can rebuild the one that came off the O. Sure is handy having all that good stuff in the reference section! John

I have never really studied all the differences. I assume, that some had sleeve bearings and some had ball bearings. There was different pulley arrangements. BUT....basically they were all 15A rated and the rotation & mounting was all the same. You done good.
