Default Another one bites the dust.

Well I hate to be the one to do this, but it's going to have to go. I picked up a 1810 today that looks looks like it will be leaving piece by piece. I'll try to get some pics of it's demise. The good news is that the engine will be going to repower a IH built 782.

I think a moment of silence is in order.

Sorry,
AJ

I try not to get attached to my cubs...some have to get their parts detached.
Sometimes they come back home though.

Here are pics of the soon to be departed. It's nice enough that if my 782 didn't need a motor, that I might think about keeping it.

Actually I didn't find it. it found me. Conner(Mr.Cubcadet) sent me a text asking if I was interested. He made me a offer I couldn't refuse.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
