Default Picked up nice 104 today

This lady called me had this 104 in her shed, been there a few years, 34 miles away, I told her i really didn't want another 104 and it was a bit of a trip, she said she didn't want much for it, just wanted it out of her shed.

It probably needs battery and carb cleaned. But this thing is in really good condition incl deck, even has a new mower belt never installed.

So i will change the oil and get new gas in her, pop the fuel bowl off and let gas run through and see that the needle valve works and see it it fires up.

Lady said it ran great when stored a few years back. The shifter is broken as they often are, but no big deal. I have another 104 for parts anyway.

Oh yeah, got it for $100, did i do good?

That's a nice looking 104 - very nice. And a great price. You did good. Also, interesting tail lights and head lights.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
