Cool Has any body tried to do this on a 982?

i was woundering if any body tryed to mount a plow/snow blower frame from a cub cadet 3225 on the front of a 982 i think its possible & would be easyer on the tractor/rock shaft.was woundering if it would fit with some ingenuity.

Anything can be modified, with a hack saw, cutting torch, welder, some metal & ingenuity.

And if you don't have that you'll need the cash to pay someone to do it for you.

I have been thinking of doing that exact thing. All that is needed is a "mule drive " mount that will accept it. The mount that I have on my 1211 could easily be made to work with one. I have used the mount on mine for over a year now with no problems. I put 3/4 or 1 inch (whatever fit) bolts through the frame were the 2 access holes are on the side and replaced the Frankenstein bolts with regular bolts on the rear were it slides in. Tighten everything down and it will not move.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
