Default is it me???

I have two cubs, one 72 108 and a 77 1200. Both of them turn extremely sharp to the left, but not to swell to the right. Both steering units a tight, nothing bent and properly greased. All tires are aired properly. Is this something that happens on all older cubs or is it true what they say about humans, that one side of us is bigger than the other, Hence we tend to favor walking to that side?

Here's what you do - I just did it to my 104 recently.

Remove both ends of the drag link - the link between the steering gear and the left front spindle. Remove both ends of the tie rod. Align both front tires straight forward and adjust both ends of the tie rods to align up with the holes in your spindles. Next turn you steering wheel side to side (or lock to lock), counting the number of turns it takes to get from lock to lock, then center your steering wheel by halving that number. Next take your drag link and adjust both ends to it hits both the hole in the left front spindle and the hole in the steering gear. Make sure that both ends are perfectly perpendicular to the holes (same with the tie rods further above). You don't want to have either at an angle.

This will not only allow for the same turning radius in both directions, but will center your steering left to right.

wild bill and t mo, ya'll are the man!!! did the search, found the EXACT same question and found my answer!! i learn something new every day, should start and ask the search before i post . may the only yellow streak you have be from a flying cub!! thanks jeff

They do that because the discharge chute is on the right you tend to trim on the left so they set them up to turn sharper to the left, it's a personal thing though. It's yours set her up the way you want.

Per the operator's manual:

The front wheels should have an equal angle for left and right turns.
