Hi everyone, first post in the main area on here so I have a real silly question. Is my 129 supposed to have rubber or solid motor mounts? Currently it has none, bolted directly to the frame. I got this tractor as a basket case, running, but with a broken governor gear..yada yada yada. But in the basket was a set of cub cadet rubber motor mounts. Any help would be great. Thanks.

yours should be solidly bolted to the tractor frame. The rubber mounts ("iso mounts") were used on the subsequent series of tractors, the Quietline.

The WF's motor bolts directly to the frame. The Quiet lines have rubber ISO mounts.

If they are in good shape, then they will bring some decent money!! The gifts in the box that you acquired with your 129 might be more than what you think......Now, how about a picture of that 129 to show the rest of the enthusiasts!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
