Default Identify my tractor

Hi,

Just bought this old girl the other day. Can' find a model number. Obviously a different engine has been cobbled in. It has a hydrostat drive and does have a hydraulic lifting mower. Any info would greatly be appreciated. Want to clean it up, go over the chassie and put on a few missing pieces like the grill and knobs etc. Want to use it to mow grass on the farm.
Serial number is 2050067U550563

Thanks
Brent

Would love to try, but on the serial no. pic I cannot make out any difference in 5s and 3s. Not gonna guess. It is definitely after 79. Lived a horrible life for what I see. Wanna see some of its 'life videos' and kick the owner for each abuse it lived thru. Mine is older than that and looks better.

I edited your post to add the 3 at the end. It's a QL tractor with the tiller gear box still on the back. It's sun faded but not as bad as William is making it out to be. I'm betting your going to find some pretty special PO mods once you get working on it.

If I didn't tunnelvision on the pics i would have seen s/n nicely written out. Lots of description. Sorry for all who read my last posts.

made in 6-7/1980. Im guessing a 1250 or 1450 cut to fit a B.S. twin .

WOW, you got yourself a 1650 made in April of 1975. Congrats. The big boss 16hp single cylinder. Congrats.

No, I think he is. My 682 is October 1979; I don't think they made QL and 82 series concurrently.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
