Have a buddy I work with that called the other day bout some garden tractors, the lady was giving away. The first two are called Bobbette garden tractors, the only info I can find on them is a identification page, they were aparently built between 1954 and 1956 in riverside California.thats it!!!
They have a rear end that looks similar to a model A,they are a 3 speed stick. One has a kohler and the other has a massive briggs pull start. They are pretty neat, the red one will run after a carb bath and the blue one doesnt get any spark. ![]() ![]() I want to get the red one up and running again and see if I can find a collector,or someone intrested in buying them....Cub money!! Plus I just want to drive one around. I also got this Jim dandy / economy garden tractor. This one I will probably keep, its a prety neat little guy,I like the big rear tires and the ground clearnce it has, also how the steering wheel offsets to the side. This one wont turn over?? ![]() If I cant find someone who wants them Ill part and scrap them, but im confident ill find someone,Ill sell cheap!!anyone know the original color of the economy???Is it the orange? Nice score Jason! Looks like you have some neat projects ahead of you. All the Economy tractors I've seen, were always orange.

Hey that's some nice old iron! Don't paint it on my word, but I think The economy power kings were red. I wouldn't mind having one if it had hydraulics and attachments. As you may or may not know they are kinda pricey.

Great score 67hydro !! Boy I'd love to get one of those Bobette's off you. It would go great next to my local built tractor. ( Roth Countryboy)
But, momma would kill me if I brought home another this soon from the last one and your a bit to far away. I'd hang on to them for a while. You might just change your mind on selling. Those old "orphans" will do that to you. But if you do decide to sell there are guys out there that look for old orphan tractors. Mich60

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
