Hi & Welcome to the OCC Forum...

The Model 1810 is basically a CCC 682 with a 18 hp Magnum engine.

For manuals call MTD Publications at : 1-800-800-7310

You'll want the Operators'Manual, Service Manual, & the Parts Manual.

I finally got model and serial number, Model:14965011 serial:789758.Any help in locating a wiring diagram for ignition system and a service manual would greatly be appreciated.Tractor came with a new ignition switch in the box.I tried that with no luck.I only have one hot wire to ignition sw.double white wire get hot while cranking but loses it in run position.The one fuse i found Is good and wires off solenoid are good.
Thanks John[Zues]

Hi Zues:

149 = Garden Tractor Manufactured in 1989.
650 = Factory code for the Model 1810.
100 = Sold by a Cub Cadet Dealer (the last three digits are 100 not 011)

The one-up serial number 789758 indicates it was made in the middle of the production year which would be probably be around the early part of April 1989 in Brownsville ,TN.

Again, call that number I posted for MTD Pubs and order your manuals or get a Cub Cadet Dealer (NOT a box store!!) to order them for you.

Default Pdf manual

You may find some manuals online, you can go to manuals.mtdproducts.com/mtd/public/list.jsp?BrandCode and put in model and serial number,now on mine it gave a part# for the manual,it was not downloadable,so I copied the manual part # and put it in the search engine and I found a PDF file.....try it see what you find. Have you checked this site for it?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
