Default 125 throttle linkage

In need of technical help. The 125 I have aquired, has had the throttle cable removed at some time and a "rigged" cable from unknown sources was used. I aquired an orignal cable recently, but the hardware to reattach to carburator wasn't included. The previous cable as mentioned was basically "there" doing nothing! So I need a picture of how the original throttle cable is to be mounted to carb, and someone who may have some salvage mounting hardware they would like to part with extremely cheap. I hope someone can help me get the ole girl going again. Thanks!

Oldblueeyes, welcome to a great site. The throttle cable mounts to the governor and the governor attaches to the carb. I don't have a good pic but here is one I found. I would download the Kohler manual and look in there for proper setup. Good luck.

Thanks for the picture! I would download the manual, but my computer connection is "dial up" and getting a simple picture to load, such as the one posted here is quite a feat, much like watching a snail crawl. Maybe I'll get lucky and perhaps another member would be so kind as to photograph there throttle cable connection on both sides-this would be super! Thanks for your help again!

off topic but you might consider checking into broadband pricing these days, it's gotten to be a competitive market. I am paying 39 a month for unlimited bandwidth and it really changed how I do things. Instead of waiting for files and pics to load they are there pretty much instantly. Instead of paying for cable every month I canceled it and watch shows on hulu or other sites now.
It's really spoiled me.

It probably depends on where you are located but At&t has high speed Internet for $14.95/month. That's pretty cheap.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
