Hello,
I've been watching this site for some time now. Seems like a great bunch of guys (and maybe girls, as I don't know the gender of all the members LOL). It's nice to see a bunch of people get along as well as the ones on here do. I myself am a Cub Cadet fanatic. My fleet consist of a 1862, 1050, 108, and a very well used Original (serial number 47610). All having their own set of problems. But with all the info on this site, I shouldn't have any problems assorting them out. Haven't got around to taking pictures, yet, as I never seen any use for them, until now. I didn't realize how much I enjoyed looking at other people's stuff, till I found this place. Hope you all don't mind a dumb question every now and again, cause I just might ask one. And, thanks for keeping it clean. That means a lot to me. Enough said. Later, Ricky |

I'm in middle Tn. Lafayette, about 65 miles northeast of Nashville. I use to believe everything had a price, and probably my "61 does too, but as of right now, I don't need the money, so the price would be very very high. I really really like it. And, I think you know what I mean. LOL Thank for the interest. If you don't mind me asking, how much are you giving for the one your picking up?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
