Default 1872 Cub Cadet Super Garden For Sale - $499

Hi everyone!

Sort of new to the group here, but mostly because I've been trying to just get information on what monster I was facing when deciding to either create a project or sell the mower to someone that could use all the original parts.

My Grandmother passed away a little over a month ago at the age of 93, and my Grandfather that I've been taking care of is 95 years old and has spent his whole life buying all types of equipment and storing it in the barns on the 125 acres of land they live on.

While it has obvious wear being 50+ some years old, it only has 764.4 Total Hours on the dashboard, has all original hydraulics, engine, massive mower deck, etc. I have broke it all down and cleaned everything inside the engine, got a new original air filter, most powerful new styles of battery for it, new started, new spark plugs, new wiring done for the starter, and over all cleaned up.

It has started up with a shot of dry gas into the intake, but my grandfather has left the old gas sitting in the tank and lines and honestly, don't have the time to tear it all back down and clean out the line and gas to keep it running without the spray.

I live in Brighton, Mi and would be willing to trailer it to someone or meet halfway, if it's a long drive for someone. But he has a Case 222, two 1990 ski doo's, two old wooden row boats, etc and I just need to get stuff out of these barns at this point. So shoot me an email or message with whatever you'd be willing to offer and would love to get it to a Cub member that would put it to good use.

Wow that's great. Would love to meet you halfway but it would still
be 600 miles each.
Good luck and thanks for offering to the folks here. Should make
someone a great ride.

Ken

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
