A possible fix

Get a package of that "gas tank repair epoxy" and mix it up, and put the very smallest dab on the pin hole, just enough to seal the leak. If you use too much, the float will be too heavy to work properly.

I told one Guy about this repair a long time back, but he didn't drain the float BEFORE applying the epoxy, then complained I gave him bad advice about carb repair.

Sheeeeeeeesh...some people should not touch engines, except to use them for the intended purpose.
