Smile Hello From Northen Indiana

Good day to you. JT is my nickname used by many. I'm 74 yrs young, Army Veteran 66-69 and a total DIY'er. Never owned a Cub and now find myself with two within the last two months. First was a 2005 LT1042 with 130 hrs on it. Second is a 2005 LT1050 with 341 hrs. The first week with the 1042, attempting to assist in mowing my 6 acres, cracked the block, which I find is a normal occurrence. Pulled engine and had a friend to Tig weld it. Am waiting on gasket and flywheel bolt so I can put it back together with Loctite for the pan bolts.

The 1050 I bought from a fellow with burned wires plus a damaged engine cover, which will have to be replaced, if I can locate one. Right now I'm searching for the female 6 pin plug of the wire hrness, as for some reason it is missing. Assuming it was melted, plus trying to clean up the wiring mess that the previous owner made a total mess of with wire taps (?) to fix or his attempt at making repairs instead of trying to located the problem.

Anyway, that's my story and why I'm here. Looking for help and advice on Cub Cadets.
Thanks for allowing me to become part of this forum.
