Default My Cub Cadet Diesel Conversion Project.

I acquired this 169 a few years back. It needed a new engine, hood, etc. I had a Kubota 1600T diesel that the trans went out. I decided to use the 2 cyl Z482 from that to go into the 169. The rear fender and fuel tank is from a newer CC 1542 with a rear fuel tank. The battery is under the hood (like the 1772D). Since the last picture here, I have added ag tires to rear, added a Brinley hitch to rear lift, got a different smokestack (the one in the picture I was sharing between my Kubota B7100 and this one). The driveshaft is 2 universal joints from a Ford F150 upper steering shaft. I had to move the steering column over closer to the frame by reversing the mounting block to the opposite direction. Driveshaft adapter is from Driveworks 3 bolt to 2 bolt. I used the radiator from the Kubota and mounted it on the front of the 169 and used electric fan wired to switch for cooling it. Alternator, water pump, and belt are still in place running off of the stock Kubota driveshaft pulley. I used the wiring from the Kubota and glow plugs circuit. I used the throttle cable from the Kubota, but had to mount it on the lower right side of the dash. The kill cable is located in the 169's Choke hole which I re-used from the 169's choke cable. PTO engage lever is in place for looks only, and is not functional. Hydraulic lift lever is in place and works for rear Brinley lift.
