That "glow-light" is just a fake timer for you,,
wire in a regular bulb, then start counting,, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc,,,,
Counting will do the same thing as waiting for the wire to glow,,
You might have to count a little higher when it is real cold outside,,,
I have two diesels with some sort of heater, and I have never used either,,
both start like gasoline engines, crank the starter and they run,, even at Virginia sub-freezing temps,,,
(Virginia sub-freezing temps are seldom below 30 degrees,,, LOL!!)
Do you really need the glow plugs to start?
