Yes, clear to see now how far from original this lift and hydraulic set-up is. Hokey, despite not using hay wire.

A different cylinder for sure, etc. etc.

Gompers, my bad, my misunderstanding on the gearbox plate.
Yes the system is so simple. I can't see anything the matter with the pivot shaft - no excess wear.
I have not yet tried to determine if the mounting frame arms are out of parallel with one another (yet, even if someone backed their truck over the thrower ... how would you bend one of those arms without destroying the auger and housing ? It's not pretty but doesn't appear to have ever been in a hit and run).

But I will sight the arms, and will look at how free the gear box plate is from side to side.

Jeff, the auger housing is well attached to the thrower frame, and I will add the second set of 1/2" bolts per side to the tractor frame.
