There's no problem there with belt alignment.
I can't see how it would be possible to move the attachment to the rear. The next bolt hole in the frame is about 3" aft. And the forward plate(adjustable) of the two mating blower mounting plates is right up tight to the casting surrounding the grill - about 5/8" away.
Also, if it were mounted ~3" backwards, to the next hole, the downward angled bar of the blower mounting gear would come in contact with the chassis. Current clearance there is about 1 1/2".
