I'll chime in and help you guys out. I'm building my own grille and headlight assembly because I'm converting my 1872 to look like a 5488 IH tractor.

Next, I just ordered some Wheel Horse plastic headlight bezels (these use the same universal round sealed beam lights as any older Cub Cadet GT does). This will give the recessed look that I'm going for, just like the big 5488 tractors have. I may have to do some slight trimming, but nothing major. Simply mount them upside down and it should be a nice easy endeavor......fingers crossed. I'll still have to figure out how to keep the headlights mounted against the bezels and grill itself though.
