So, last fall, I finished grading around the barn and sowed grass around it.

When I had it built, I planned to use an off-grid solar setup for lighting. Today, I started on the layout of the breaker box and charge controller. I’m using a Square D QO series box and breakers as they are actually rated for DC voltage up to 48 volts. The solar panels and charger are from Renogy. It’s their 200W premium package that includes cables, fuses, and a Bluetooth module for reading and adjusting the charger. I’ll be using a deep cycle marine battery for storage.
For light wiring, I’m using standard boxes, porcelain bulb bases, and 14-2 Romex wire. Inside will be 6 15W 12V LED bulbs. I found several options on Amazon that screw into standard bulb sockets. Outside will be a porch light by the man door and a flood light above the garage doors.
