From my experience, I have not been able to replace the bearings on any of the Cub mule drives that I have restored because they were solidly welded together. I have replaced bearings on some of the idler pulleys found on mower decks by drilling out the welds, replacing the bearing and bolting the two halves together.

Look for Cub Cadet, Oregon, Stens or other brand name suppliers as cheap chyna pulleys don’t hold up. Ask me how I know…
