My belt on my 44 inch deck was rubbing in the same area as yours but on the deck not on the carrier. I would think if you let the two front links out about a quarter inch that might do it. If the front of the deck is a little lower then the clearance between the deck and the carrier will be greater. I noticed that your two links are much shorter than mine are which means that the front of your deck is a lot higher than mine for the same lift height.
