guys, I will try to be quick.
I left the electrical problem alone for the nite. have the bat on charge.
I did make some progress on the exhaust. (I would much rather work on mechanical than electrical). Yea its going to be close to the hood.
Some shots of what happened to the piece of stainless plate.
I whittled it down to shape, drilled some holes to attach to the head bolts. Whittled and fit a bracket to weld to the pipe, drilled three 1/4 inch holes to be able to un-mount the pipe, from the manifold pipe. This seems very ridged and should allow me to proceed with fabing a small stainless heat shield to protect the decals. That is still in the design phase. Which means I haven't rummaged thru the junk to see what I have yet.
The $10 china made Harbor Freight 4-1/2 inch grinder bit the dust! It was on fire in my hand for a couple seconds. Glad I had gloves on!
Hey thanks I did find that vent hole for the carb bowl. Never knew it was there. I poked a small piece of plastic through it and it could have been plugged???
I think I found why the seat back folds flat! Excellent place to park your drinks or a snack.
I did get out the 86 and hauled 4 loads of wood while this red thing just set there and pouted.
Regards.
Chris
