Thanks for the pictures Chris!  I think it will work for a temporary thing like you said but I think they may eventually fall off. I did found the trim thing I was talking about. I put it on and took some pictures for you. One other problem I have had similar to the hood banging on the grill is the snow thrower chute would come up and hit the lights. I busted one out once. I just need to remember not to go so high.
After looking at the pictures I notice mine is a pig, lol. It could use some scrubbing.
More thinking into it. I would think you could make a limiter inside some how. Maybe a bungee cord or chain that would keep the hood from going all the way open and banging on the grill. Just an idea.
