Jeff,
That is so funny. I did not see this post till this morning! Yesterday morning I took the spare cam follower and chucked it in the drill press and tried to true it up with a file, and then a hand held grinding wheel. It was working, but too slow.
Chucked the cam follower in the Dewalt cordless and while spinning held it against the spinning side of the bench grinding wheel! After one trial I had it 95% then just tweaked the angle a little and shortened the tip. Worked out Great! Its back in the steering sector and the rework removed most of the slop ta the center position. Great minds think alike!
