My Son has this muffler on his 86.
The muffler is off a Cub tractor. We have an extra brace on it.
The wrap around the elbow is a product called header wrap.
It keeps the heat in. We were afraid the heat would ruin the decal on the side of the tractor. We haven't had any problems in the last 2 years.
