exactly what I was thinking.... and besides ... a diesel needs even more compression to run. NO way in hades or here or someplace in the backwoods did anyone hold a papertowel over a hole to hold compression to run a diesel.

I find it difficult to believe anyone would be holding that plug bare hands for any length of time if there were a real ignition going on in it. Briggs or not. I have scars to prove that from when I was younger. Ceramic carries heat.
