Too much work? Come on...you could do it in an afternoon. All you have to do is remove the frame cover and fenders, put jackstands under the footrest supports, disconnect the driveshaft, brakes, and hydro linkage, unbolt the rear, roll it out, and then reverse the process to put the new rear in. Nothing to it.
